One of the top things The Journey groupies request is information on getting and staying motivated. We can share our stories and what has worked for us, but ultimately you have to decide what will work for you. So, coming on Thursdays in May, we’ll have a Motivational May series to talk about … motivation!
Motivation is defined as the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. Motivation is what causes us to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. —About.com
We are all unique, but some aspects of motivation are fairly universal. Hopefully it won’t feel like you’re in a Psych 101 class, but I’ll try to find some of the basics about motivation and then figure out some practical steps that you can apply to your life. Like I said, ultimately you choose what you are going to do with your life, but it doesn’t hurt to have some tools that will help you discover what works for you.
So, join me on Thursdays in May to talk about motivation!
