Tortilla Chips…a recipe from a groupie

Jessica photo for The JourneyA few months ago we had an online book study going with the fabulous book called “Made to Crave”.  Cori led the online version and I met with a few ladies at my church for a weekly discussion and mini-workout.  Our last meeting we did a “treat” exchange…similar to a cookie exchange that happens around the Christmas season.  We wanted to do a healthier version though…today I am sharing one of those treats with you!

The recipe is super easy…and if you need a crunchy type of food in your kitchen…this might be something for you.  Think Doritos with a twist.

Tortilla Chips

Ingredients

  • 6 inch corn tortillas
  • Butter Flavor Pam (you could probably use Olive Oil or non-spray versions too.  I’ve used melted butter too)
  • 4 parts chili powder to 1 part salt

Directions

  • preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • sparingly spray both sides of the tortilla
  • place on cookie sheet
  • mix chili powder and salt and sprinkle over tortilla
  • cut into 8 pieces with a cookie cutter
  • Bake for about 11 minutes
  • Cool and store in a container
